Feel Good Friday is…..!!!!
Nineteen years ago today, my friend, Andy and I went on a wild drunken adventure through the sprawling hills of the Palouse territory outside of Pullman. We wound up at the Coug at midnight of my 21st birthday after being dropped off by a couple of hammered farmers who took us on a hair-raising, fish-tailing, death-defying drive through canyons at unfortunate speeds in a beater pick-up with bald tires and beer soaked seats.
Today, I am going to the Woodland Park zoo with my daughter’s kindergarten class. We will make fun of her brother at the monkey cages. “That one looks like Aden. Hi, Aden!!” and we will laugh. It’s going to be great.
Tomorrow is my 40th birthday and as I reflect on my past and look forward to my future, I am encouraged by the fact that I would still take a wild trip with my buddy Andy and I am also looking very forward to going to the zoo with my daughter. Life yields many things, many different experiences. It is these moments that count. These are the things worth reflecting on and enjoying. So this FGF reflect on your own great days and enjoy the thoughts of your own wild adventures. Life is rich and fun and fantastic. Spill your enthusiasm onto the laps of your fellow travelers as you wind down your own slippery, steep, unpaved canyon road with no guardrails!! Soak ‘em!!! Today is your day. Own it, embrace it and give it away!! It is all that matters!! Have a wonderful FGF. Enjoy all of it. –Dave

Feel Good Friday is Sunny!!!
Yes, it is a beautiful day in Seattle!! Spring is dialed in!! Flowers are in bloom and the grass green, baby. Daffodils and tulips are popping up all over. Some are finished. Some are perfect. Some are late. It is the late-bloomers I enjoy the most. They represent potential. They represent the fact that a beautiful future awaits. This is encouraging. We are all in various states of bloom. Some have flourished young and are awaiting a second chance. Some of us are in the very prime. Some of us are on the verge of blossoming into our most fantastic blooms. For the most part, we are a world of second-chancers and late-bloomers. Very few of us live in the perfect state and when we do, it is brief. So, on this May Day, embrace your own second chances or the wonderful potential lying in your late bloom!! Re-birth, re-invent, re-do, do-over, do better!!! You can have everything you want. It is sitting deep in the well of your folded up petals. Open up and enjoy the feel of some sweet Spring sunshine!! Give, be kind, laugh, smile, enjoy all of it. –Dave
